COURSE OVERVIEW
Teachers will be able to evaluate the equity in computer science crisis and recommend solutions to narrow gender and racial gaps that persist in today's society.
This 4-module course is delivered through online and mailed materials. Participants are encouraged to work on the course collaboratively in a group of 2-4 peers (optional).
Each module should take around 60 minutes to complete. A total of 4 PD clock hours for the entire course is suggested.
All projects, activities, and content are directly applicable to educators (teachers, coaches, and administrators) working with K-12 students. At the end of the course, participants will receive a signed certificate of completion.
This course is recommended for K-12 educators who want to learn more about how to ensure equitable computer science education within their organization.
